The most stunning location for a wedding. The grounds are so beautiful and the owners Tom, Mary and Nigel are so warm and genuine. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect weekend.

We had our wedding here and it was beyond beautiful. Tom and the family were unbelievably helpful and really looked after us. Breakfast in the morning and fresh coffee anytime. Not only did we have the wedding of fairytales, but also built a great friendship. Will definitely be going back to get away from the hustle and bustle.

We were lucky enough to celebrate our wedding at Gloster House. The beauty of the house and grounds are unrivaled, but it was the genuine warmth and kindness of the owners that really made it so special for us. From start to finish Tom, Mary and Nigel were the perfect hosts. They ran the weekend to perfection and as a result we were able to completely relax and enjoy our wedding. We had visited four different venues prior to Gloster House and whilst each was a serious contender, we hadn’t had a unanimous ‘yes’ from both of us and our parents. We liked the idea of being able to hire out a house in the countryside and having it to ourselves. We adored the architecture of Gloster house. We felt the house had so much potential. It had so many different spaces we could use from an onsite chapel, a beautiful courtyard and a glorious hallway for the drinks reception – it was a unanimous ‘yes’ from all parties involved as we walked around! We adored the white chapel. It had such a wow factor when we first walked in. We could just picture the flowers and the choir. We also loved the idea that our guests weren’t required to travel from the Church to a venue. It was and is a one-stop venue. 

Planning a destination wedding was extremely stressful. We actually had my now mother in law visit Gloster and she face-timed us while walking through the venue. It was an immediate decision. YES! Please have our date available!
Absolute incredible venue! Royal wedding? If only they knew about Gloster House…. Tom and Mary were so nice and genuine from the moment we met them. Their Son, Nigel, helped run the wedding on the day of and made sure everything went exactly how we… I mean Sinead (my now wife) wanted. They worked with us through all of our extremely difficult requests and made sure this was going to be the wedding we have always dreamed of. Thank you Tom, Mary, and Nigel for one of the best days of our lives! Without a doubt would recommend Gloster House to anyone for their wedding venue. There is no place better.

We had our wedding at Gloster House in July this year and it was absolutely the best decision we could have made! The venue is spectacular – so many of our guests told us it was the best wedding venue they’d ever seen. Tom and Mary are the perfect hosts, combining a personal approach with the utmost professionalism. They unfailingly responded to our many many questions in the lead up to the day and were on hand to make sure everything came together seamlessly on the day. We booked Gloster House for three nights and held a bbq in the gardens the day after. We felt so at home the whole time and there were a few tears when we left. An unforgettable and exceptional place to celebrate such an important milestone with friends and family.

We had our wedding in the beautiful Gloster House in September 2016, and I cannot recommend it enough as a wedding venue. From the start, the owners Mary and Tom were personable, relaxed and extremely helpful with planning the day. They had solutions for any issues that arose and recommendations for how to make the day a relaxed affair for everyone. On the wedding day, we had the ceremony in a beautifully decorated room. Then drinks and canapés outside in the sunshine taking in the views of the amazing grounds and the meal in the fabulous dinning room, which again was decorated in the most lovely way. In the evening the courtyard was decorated with candles and fairy lights, it was very magical to sit out with drinks and chat to our guests. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and any requests were dealt with efficiently. Our guests have all commented that it was an amazing wedding, relaxed and fun, made even more special by the little touches that Tom, Mary and their son Nigel had put in place. Gloster House is a truly special place and we feel very lucky to have had our wedding there. It was a fabulous day and If we had to do it again we would not change a single thing.

We got engaged at the end of a year spent travelling and visited lots of potential venues on our return to Ireland. Gloster House was the first we viewed and none others came close for us – as a venue it was absolutely stunning, and we, our friends and our family were very well looked after by Mary, Tom, Nigel and the rest of the team on the big day. Highly recommended!

We got married in Gloster House in 2018. When I got out of the car on our first visit and saw Percy the peacock I was sold on the place. Our wedding was a little unusual given that at least half of the guests were coming from abroad. The beautiful country house and grounds were almost like something out of a fairy tail and the guests who had grown up in largely urban settings were mesmerized. To this day whenever anyone talks about our wedding venue their eyes light up.

Tom, Mary and Nigel put us in touch with fantastic suppliers including, Richard Haslam flowers (an absolute must) and Green Olive Catering who were used to the venue and worked seamlessly with the Alexanders. The Alexanders also helped us to find accommodation for all of our guests. Both local hotels had weddings on the night, but my fiance together with the Alexanders managed to find beds for 180 guests in quaint and original guest houses. My husband also loves history, and Tom and Mary were never too busy to explain how they restored the house or to discuss the history of the venue with him.

This venue has all the WOW factor of any venue in Ireland, that is what attracted us there. What we didn’t realise in our early planning stages was how important the managers of the venue would be. Nigel dealt with difficult guests, they organised last minute changes and they even ensured that I was left in peace on the morning of the wedding. I never had to ask them to do any of this, nor did they ask for any thanks, they just do these things without even involving the bridal party. This meant that we were comfortable on the day that everything would be looked after.

After our lovely day two BBQ we were exhausted. All the guests were gone and we had our final hour in the venue having a beer with Tom. A typical touch from the class act that is Gloster House Weddings.

From the moment we stepped foot on your breathtaking grounds, we knew we had found the perfect venue. The meticulous attention to detail and the sheer beauty of the interior left us and our guests utterly captivated.

The day itself was nothing short of magical. The weather was miraculously kind to us, a rare blessing in Ireland, and the ambiance at Gloster House was simply enchanting. Our guests are still raving about the magnificence of the venue and how special the entire event felt.

Gloster House is a one of a kind venue. My husband Conor and I got married here on 19 July 2025 and couldn’t have asked for a more incredible weekend, largely down to Mary, Tom and Nigel and the fabulous spot that is Gloster. It was the first venue we’d looked at when we started planning our wedding and from the moment we arrived, we knew it was the one. Gloster has it all – stunning gardens, forest walks, a beautiful white chapel and incredible rooms and dining spaces. We genuinely couldn’t fault it and our guests all said it was like being in Downton Abbey for the weekend! But what really sets it aside from other venues isn’t just the space itself, it’s the attention to detail that Nigel, as wedding co-ordinator, gives to your wedding. Nothing was too much hassle and every little ask (from last minute super glue to sparklers and umbrellas) he thought of it all. He made us feel like our wedding was the most important thing in the world even though we knew he’d been busy all summer with them. We went with Green Olive for our caterers and again, couldn’t have asked for better, every last person at that wedding said that the food was phenomenal. Picking Gloster was the easiest decision we made and not only did they keep our wedding planning and weekend stress-free, they made the whole process so enjoyable for us. We must have had tea and biscuits in Gloster three or four times before the big day and Tom, Mary and Nigel welcomed us in every single time! Saying that Gloster is a five star venue isn’t enough. It is truly the best wedding venue we have ever been to and we feel so lucky to have gotten married here.

Rob and I had our wedding in Gloster House on July 12th this year. It was incredible. We absolutely loved every part of it. Nigel is the wedding coordinator and son of the owners of Gloster house . He was absolutely fantastic and helped us so much along the way. The Gloster house wedding guide is very detailed and they have fantastic recommendations to help with the planning too. Green olive is the catering company we hired – very professional and well trained staff throughout too. We got lots of compliments throughout the day over the meal. More incredible in real life. Food for breakfast there amazing too. Our wedding was just beautiful- and everything went as planned as so much organisation was done by Nigel leading upto the day. He even let us back with the parents beforehand. Anyway- I would 110% recommendation GH it was the best day of our lives and the most beautiful venue we have ever seen. My husband and I had our wedding here in April, and it was the most magical experience we could have ever imagined! Nigel, Mary and Tom were so helpful, and they made my dream fairytale weekend come to life. It truly felt like our home for the weekend with the way the Gloster family was hands-on. The gardens are breathtaking–all of our little ones (and guests) had the best time exploring the grounds throughout the weekend. Truly cannot say enough great things about this place or their team! Already thinking about a visit next year for our anniversary 😉

Got Married here in June. The grounds are just quite simply stunning & its Georgian Country house / land around Gloster are exceptionally kept by both Tom & Mary (and their son Nigel). Gloster House is a private hire venue which I still think of with strong memories of our Irish wedding. It was worth every cent. The house has a truly grand and luxurious feel to it without feeling pretentious. I would highly recommend the venue to anyone who is looking to get married and hunting something a little more unique 🙂
